Q3- SOLVED- Issue was because I didn't reboot router and then mistakenly connected wrong port. SOLVED The setup wizard starts, I get to the point where I can see/test all my 4 nics and they work, but on Auto, it does not get an IP address or connectivity to my Aris SB6183 cable modem. Q2- Is this normal? How can I speed it up? It worked but boot up time is bout 45 second-1 Minute. I then manually select the second option in GRUB"untangle 3.16.0.4 amd64' option. Is this normal or do I need to reinstall? Is this a partition I need? How do I fix it (or remove it) I then get an error can't find command 'fwsetup'

I have an Aris SB6183 cable modem and want to use untangle to replace my consumer ASUS 1900AC router for routing/firewall/vpn.įor the install I have the QOTOM Untangle server directly plugged into the Aris SB6183.įirstly while installing from the USB key, trying to force UEFI just gets the installer in a loop, so I continued without forcing it.Īfter the wizard completed installing from USB image, it reboot in the default "setup" config in GRUB. Ubuntu was previously installed on it and worked great (boot up in 4 seconds) all ports worked etc. I'm trying to install untangle 13.1.0 on an I5/32GB SSD/4GB ram fanless physical machine (QOTOM). r/HomeNetworking - Simpler networking advice. r/pfsense - for all things pfsense ('nix firewall) Might be able to find things useful for a lab.
